First of all, with the typeface brief, I need a context. So, I have got hold of some postage packaging items that I am going to apply my typeface too. I am going to do this by making a set of stickers that simple say, 'This way Up,' and 'Keep Dry.' in the relevant typefaces. Then I can photograph these items and that is my context done.
Considering label design,
I have already improved on my leaflets so far, I have added a description,
I thinks description ensures the viewer gets the whole idea about the typeface and adds a bit of intelligence to the leaflet by describing my thinking behind creating it.
I have also added a cardboard cover to the leaflets, to enhance the concept.
With the Jazz Cakes Brief, I have finalised my logo and business card. I have decided to leave the poster for now as I don't think this is going to help my portfolio, and come back to it nearer the deadline.
